Developing a Cartoon: the title
February 7, 2008The current working title of the cartoon is Bubble Pop which probably doesn’t make much sense at first glance.
The idea of the name though is that it’s a referance to the way we all view the world from the safety of our own perspective of what is real.
We live in a bubble in which all that is inside is real and accepted and all which is on the outside is simply superstition or does not exist.
As such I named it Bubble Pop because in its own way, it’s breaking the bubble of reality which surrounds the setting in which it is put by introducing creatures and people who should by no means be there.
After all, demons and such things are but superstition aren’t they?
Developing a Cartoon: the Crew
February 7, 2008The current crew of the cartoon consists mainly of four characters:
There’s Li’l D (Little Destruction) mostly just referred to as D, a demon in training which is currently a demon in a stuffed animal since horned monsters doesn’t really fit in too well in the real world.
Then there’s Eddie, the headless bunny who’s a few braincells short of
an actual brain. He was a Helldog back on the diabolical plane but is just as at home in his new body even if it lacks some teeth and is stuffed with fluff.
James JackO’lantern is an old revered warlock who currently occupies the body of a slightly less revered pumpkin headed toy. He’s laid back, chain smokes and would rather just be left alone.
Lastly there’s Lucy, full name Lucy Fehrer, at least on this plane of
existence. She’s a student currently settling in at the dorm bringing
with her the three above mentioned abominations.
On a side note one can mentioned Fuzzy the Furbie, D’s prized
possession, as a possible fifth character but he doesn’t do much except
get corrupted by Eddie.
For as we all know, Furbies are evil!
